“ came for a friend's bday dinner no cake fee ⭐ fan favourites were the miso cucumber and truffle eggplant fried chicken was mid service was forgetful seating is uncomfortable - stools with no backrest ”
“ Delicious food, lots of flavour. The miso sauce in all dish was quite sweet though and the sweetness over powered the dishes. The dishes came out in random order without us being told, so some of us had mains while others still had entrees. Ambience was very nice and staff were friendly. ”
“ This food (especially the sauces on/with each dish) was phenomenal. We definitely found a new restaurant that we'll return to many times. The charcoal flavour imbued in the dishes from that particular section of the menu was fantastic. The broccolini was my favourite but every single dish was something that I could eat over and over. The music was good and punchy but the sound system suffers because of too much concrete and hard surfaces. Cocktail menu and bartender were both on point ”
“ The staffs were SO FRIENDLY! We ordered the set menu (69pp) some dishes were quite good, some were okay. And the amount of set menu is a lot! We were so full and didn’t finish the main The favorite dish is King Fish! It’s fresh and the flavor was perfect! The king prawn was also my personal favorite! The butter sauce was so good. If you love prawn, you will love it! The broccolini flavored nicely as well, the sauce was really good! The eggplant chip was cool, I never had eggplant with deep fried skin before, the truffle sauce and cheese dressing was good. Other than these, the rice cake was okay. The fried chicken main dish was a bit disappointing, this was our less favorite one. The skin was pretty thick , the chicken was dry, the radish and chicken sizes were huge and the chicken was with bone It was not too bad but I expected more from other dishes experience! We went there with 4 people, could only choose one main dish. Overall TOKKI is a very good restaurant, good vibe, nice staffs, delicious food. But maybe instead of set menu, I ’ll order every dish separately next time ”
“ Arrived in a group of 5, and we all were left satisfied with such exquisite and delicious food. Generous portion sizes were enough to account for all members. Atmosphere was moody during the night time, with the red ambient light setting the scene. Overall a pleasant dinner with friends. -Stergos ”
“ Went with a group of 8 which was accommodated with no fuss and had a blast. On the night 2 other groups enjoyed their birthdays (which of course we cheered for ) the food was pretty decent and cooked fresh. Cocktails also pretty decent. All in all a pretty mellow vibe and relaxing atmosphere ”
“ This place rocks - absolute must visit. I walked in alone on Valentine’s Day after getting turned away from numerous restaurants. The host team here welcomed me and told me they were fully committed for the evening, but they found a way to seat me still. Not only that, they provided incredible service and even better food. They absolutely didn’t have to make room for me but they did anyway and it made for a great night. This place is a must visit - food is great with lots of flare and flavor. Vibes are fantastic. All around great spot. Thanks again! ”
“ A fairly new Asian fusion restaurant in Surry Hills. We tried the Feed Me tasting menu. Overall the food was good, but I feel like some of the items weren't really for tasting, like the cucumber and brocollini. To us, the cucumber is more or an appetiser and the brocollini a side dish. Otherwise, the king fish was beautiful. The KFC bao was nice. The prawns were bit overcooked hence difficult to remove from the shells. Pork belly was ok, a bit plain and the dipping sauce gives majority of the flavour. I can see what they are trying to do as a fusion restaurant, but I felt the tasting menu fell a bit short on creativity. I thought that the service was also a bit average. The place was packed as it was a Saturday night. However, usually when you do degustation, the wait staff should explain what they're serving but most of the time they just dump the food on the table due to the rush. Nothing against the staff as they were friendly and approachable otherwise. I think the service was also quite slow. We dined for 2+ hours. I get spacing the dishes in between but I think relative to the serving sizes and the composition of the tasting menu, they could have easily completed within 1.5 hours easily. The cocktails were nice also, the spicy lychee was something different. The restaurant itself had a nice ambience and was clean. I will dine again in this restaurant but likely not as a first choice for Asian fusion. ”
